The North Sydney Council wants to know what people think about EV chargers.
They are asking individuals to send a private message about this to the Council website – by 17 September 2026.
Then they’ll determine an application from EVX Australia to install 27 chargers on power poles around North Sydney – two of them at 9 Toongarah Road and 6 Waverton Avenue.

If we had time to discuss this at our next Precinct meeting, clever people in Waverton might ask the Council:
- Why consider a proposal from one company?
- Has the Council assessed the offerings of the five or more companies rolling out different versions and payment models around Sydney?*
- Will the Council commence a process that allows the various types of chargers (and charges) to be compared?
