The North Sydney Council wants to know what people think about EV chargers.
The Council has an application from EVX Australia to install 27 chargers on power poles around North Sydney – two of them in Waverton, at 9 Toongarah Road and 6 Waverton Avenue.
The Council is asking individuals to “have their say” about this by 17 September 2026.

Smart EVs are increasing rapidly — making traffic quieter and safer — using renewable energy instead of imported fossil fuels. I’m going to ask the next meeting of the Waverton Precinct Committee to consider some general comments on the important charging issue, and to request further information from the Council, such as:
