We really like our village centre.
Many people have heard that North Sydney Council is planning a Waverton Village Project.
As yet no plans and no budget, but doing something is scheduled for 2027/28.
(By the way, “Waverton Village” is roughly Bay Road between the two sets of bus stops – the station, the little park, the Uniting Church hall and the shops down to Grumpy’s and Bay Brew.)
Let’s help the Council decide what to include in the project.
We’ve also found that there’s plenty of interest in the future of the village, so let’s share some thoughts and ideas about what should change and what should not.
- What should stay the same?
- What should be fixed up?
- What to do differently?
Waverton Precinct Committee
is holding an ideas workshop
When: Thursday 15 October
Time: 10:00-12:00
Where: Le Coq & Fish (thank you Loic)
Please come. Waverton Village residents, business owners, customers, workers, visitors and neighbours will be there. It will be welcoming, lively and interesting — and the start of a conversation with the Council about developing the heart of our community.
A report from the workshop will be distributed and then discussed at the next meeting of the Waverton Precinct Committee, on Tuesday 3 November at 7:30 pm.
Can’t make it to the workshop? We want to hear your ideas. Please email
[email protected] and your suggestions will be included in the discussion.
